Burrell Salvage was established in the 1960s when trash wasn’t considered treasure at all, nor so much of an issue. Fast forward to today and Burrell Salvage is not only still going strong but is redefining how industrial upcycling is perceived.
Initially a demolition business, they began rescuing reusable building materials and over time evolved into the popular industrial salvage yard and antique store which remains at it’s original site in Auckland’s, Morningside.
They have been a family owned and operated business since day one and all staff are either family or part of their extended family, maintaining their low-key, friendly service providing high value materials to Auckland’s residential and commercial construction projects and sending building materials for use in Tonga.
They see potential in every window, door, tap, handle, light, brick and statue housed inside their shed and yard, and they pride themselves on preserving a little piece of Auckland and Aotearoa’s history at the same time.
If you have a deconstruction project that fits with the types of materials Burrell collects, get in touch and they’ll come and take a look. If it’s not right for them they will do their best to redirect you to the best place to go.
